Conclusion:
Dear Grandma,
I am writing to check in on you, and to see how you are doing. I want to tell you of something we have been doing in engineering class for the past week. I believe that you would be fascinated by it, and it will also allow you to possibly regain trust in the election process after the George Bush and Al Gore situation all the way back from the 2000 presidential election. We have created a brand new technology to help make the voting process much more fair, and a lot less rigged. We created a tool that can help with the fairness of voting. It is called a majority vote, and what it does is allows four people to vote on a subject. The people that vote are the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. When none of them vote to pass on a certain thing it is not passed. If a majority of any three of them vote for it to be passed it will become passed because the majority voted for it. However if it is an even tie, it may pass or not passed depending on who it is that voted to pass it. If one of the two people that vote for it includes the president it will be passed. For example if the President and Secretary vote to pass it, but the Vice President and Treasurer do not, it will become passed. If the Treasurer and Secretary voted for the passing while the President and Vice president voted against it, it will not be passed. To sum it up in simpler words, whenever there is a tie whatever side the President chose is the side that rules the final outcome. I just wanted to inform you of this new technology in hopes that you start to gain trust in the election process again.
Love,
Jackson
